Pope Francis delivering a message at the Vatican

In  the  poor  and  outcast  we  see  Christ's face ; by  loving  and  helping  the  poor , we  love  and  serve  Christ .  Our  efforts  are  also  directed  towards ending  violations  of human  dignity, discrimination  and  abuse  in  the  world , for  these  are  so  often  the  cause  of  destitution .

When  power , luxury  and  money  become  idols, they  take  priority  over  the  need  for  a  fair  distribution  of  wealth .  Our  consciences  thus  need to  be  converted  to  justice ,  equality ,  simplicity  and  sharing .

Mother Teresa on Family members:

Mother Teresa on Family members:
Peace and war start within our own house. Let us start by loving our own family members. Familiarity breeds contempt and so sometimes it is hard for us to even smile at one other. It is easy to love those who live far away, but it is not always easy to love those who live right next to us. But Mother Teresa says we must love our family members.

For example:
It is easier to offer food to feed the hunger of a homeless person on the street, but it is difficult to comfort the loneliness of aging parents living with us, who do not feel loved.

10 Things Your Dog Would Tell You..

10 Things Your Dog Would Tell You..

 1. My life is likely to last 10 to 15 years. Any separation from you will be painful:
remember that before you adopt me.

 2. Give me time to understand what you need from me.

 3. Place your trust in me- it is crucial to my well being.

 4. Do not be angry at me for long, and do not lock me up as punishment.

 5. You have your work, your entertainment, and your friends. But I only have you.

 6. Talk to me sometimes. Even if I don’t understands your words, I understand your          voice when it is speaking to me.

 7. Be aware that how ever you treat me, I will never forget.

 8. Remember before you hit me that I have teeth that could easily hurt you, but I choose not to bite you because "I love you".

 9. Before you scold me for being uncooperative, obstinate, or lazy, ask yourself if    something might be bothering me. Perhaps I might not be getting the right food, or I have
been out too long, or my heart is getting too old and weak.

 10. Take care of me when I get old; you too will grow old. Go with me on difficult journeys. Never say: “I cannot bear to watch” or “Let it happen in my absence.”         Everything is easier for me if you are there, even my death.

Violence of the tongue is very real

The quickest and the surest way towards thoughtfulness is the tongue. Use the tongue for the good of others, you will also speak well of others.

Violence of the tongue is very real, sharper than any knife, wounding and creating bitterness that only the grace of God can heal. So the tongue must be absolutely clean to speak words of comfort,  faith and Love
Violence of the tongue is very real

Judging people

Judging people:
We never ask people why they are on the street or in their present situation:

We don't need to know their history.

We don't judge people for whatever situation they are in, because all they want is someone to love and care and they are satisfied.

Said Sister Dolores, one of the sister of Mother Teresa

Mother Teresa on Money

Mother Teresa on Money

Many people think, especially in the

west, that having money makes you

happy. I think it must be harder to be

happy if you are wealthy because you

may find it difficult to see God: you

will have too many other things to think

about.

However, if God has given you this gift

of wealth, then use it for his purpose -

Help others, help the poor, create jobs,

give work to others.

Don't waste your wealth

Better person

http://www.miranijewelers.com/marlen.htm
Better person by Mother Teresa
Some call God Ishwar. Others call him Allah. And others call him God.
There is only one God and He is God to all;
Every one of has to recognize that He created us for better things, such as to love and be loved.
So Mother Teresa always said that we should help a Hindu become a better Hindu,
a Muslim become a better Muslim, a Christian a better Christian.

If you hold onto that sentence by Mother Teresa

Don't allow anything to interfere with your love for God. You belong to Him. Nothing can separate you from Him. That one sentence is important to remember. He will be your joy, your strength. If you can hold onto that one sentence.
Temptations and difficulties will come, but nothing will break you.
Remember, you have been created for great things.

Holding Hands

Holding hands is a promise to one another, that for just a moment, the two of us do not have to face the world alone

Mother Teresa said "I fear just one thing: money! Greed - the love of money"

When Mother has a real problem: like finding a roof for lepers, a home for children(1), she goes to ask. And for every big donation of money she always has an immediate application in building a home, a hospital, a shelter... But never Mother Teresa does fund raising. The sisters know it very well: when there is no food, a need for a bigger place or need for money to be able to build or buy a house for the poor, Mother invites all the sisters to pray and often organizes adoration to put the matter in Gods'Hands. A beautiful example of this can be seen in one of the videos on Mother (by An and Jeannet Petrie).

At the same time Mother is scrupulously looking and checking how every single penny in a convent is spent. The sisters have to answer this every time she comes to visit. Every cent is a gift for the poor.
Mother herself believes that she will have to answer to Jesus for every single penny people gave her, for every word she spoke, for every act she put. Because she wants her surrender to God, her trust in Him and her love for Him, so pure, so perfect, so beautiful... There should not be a spot, a hidden gesture, a wasted minute, a spoiled penny... Only when we can imagine a love so deep and honest, a devotion so pure, we can understand how deeply Mother was involved to a good use of the money people gave her.
When we read this words of her, we can understand better maybe:

"I fear just one thing: money! Greed - the love of money - was what motivated Judas to sell Jesus." (M. Theresa)

Sharing in Mother's work with a sari.

ne day a lady came to Mother Teresa dressed in a very expensive sari. She told Mother Teresa "Mother, I want to share in your work." Mother Teresa prayed for a moment to get the right answer to give her about sharing in her work, and she told her "I would begin with the sari. You start buying a cheaper sari each month, and the money you save, you bring it to me for the poor."

So the lady started buying cheaper saris and she told Mother Teresa that it had not only changed her life, but She really understood sharing, and the lady added that she had received much more than she had given.

Do small things with great love: Mother Teresa

o the Good God nothing is little, because He is so Great & we so small, that is why He stoops down & takes the trouble to make those little things for us. To give us a chance to prove our love for Him. Because He makes them they are very Great.

Be faithful in little practices of love, of little sacrifices, of the little interior modifications, of little fidelities to rule, which will build in you the life of holiness, make you Christ like.

Do not look for big things, just do small things with great love, the smaller the thing the greater must be our love.
