Donated last rupee

After leaving the sisters of Loreto,  Mother Teresa had Five rupees on her and for the first time she went along the streets of Calcutta to help the poorest of the poor. She had given away four rupees.
Seeing her help the poor, a priest came up to her and asked for some contribution towards Catholic press. Mother Teresa hesitated since she had only one rupee left, but she gave the priest what she had.

Later that day, the same priest came to see her with an envelope. The priest told her that a man had given him the envelope because he had heard about Mother Teresa's projects and wanted to help her.

There were fifty rupees in the envelope, this convinced Mother Teresa that God had begun to bless her work and He would never abandon her.

Judging people:

Judging people:

We never ask people why they are on the street or in their present situation:
We don't need to know their history.
We don't judge people for whatever situation they are in, because all they want is someone to love and care and they are satisfied.

Humility by Mother Teresa

Humility by Mother Teresa
  • We should have a humble and meek heart.
  • We learn humility through accepting humiliations cheerfully.
  • Do not let any chance pass you by. It is easy to be angry, self centered, selfish and condescending, but we have been created for greater things.
  • So why stoop down to things that will spoil the beauty of our hearts.
