Here are a few tips to make your shirts glow for a long time:
Cleaning:
Check the washing instructions or care label on the tag. Most dress shirts advise washing over dry cleaning
Before washing, turn the shirt inside out. This will protect the shirt against fading, surface damage due to chemicals in the detergent
Remove stains if any with stain remover before washing the shirt.
Pressing / Ironing:
If you put your shirt in a dryer, remove the shirt from the dryer and straighten it. This way you can avoid ironing the shirt
If ironing the shirt, then use light starch. Heavy starch can reduce the life of the shirt.
Think about it: Higher the quality of the shirt and fabric, longer will be the cotton fibers. These long fibers wrinkle less and hence less ironing.
Storage:
Hang your shirts on a thick hanger (not the thin metal ones), this way they will crease less around the shoulders.
Fold your shirts if you are traveling. But remember that to steam out the crease before wearing especially around the stomach area.
