Pelikan Maki-e Sea World fountain pen

Our planet is covered by 360 million square kilometres of water. The history of the oceans is as old as the earth itself, and all life on our planet originates from the depths of the oceans. These came into being what feels like an eternity ago - an estimated 4.6 billion years.
The motifs on the fountain pen symbolize this history: The turtle - the symbol for a long life - forms the centre-point, surrounded by numerous fish. It is produced using an elaborate mother-of-pearl inlay technique.

Fusion nib by Delta

Fusion: the new nib, invented by Delta.

It’s composed by a combination of different materials (so far, steel and gold) that give better functionality, enhancing the chemical-physical properties of ink with an assembly system adapted to increase the efficiency of the pen itself..
Moreover, the fountain pen is more precious and less expensive.
The FUSION nib shows a “plate” of precious metal (gold, or palladium, or other noble alloys) which, due to its high features of thermal conductivity, will tend to heat the underlying metal (steel, titanium or other); the underlying metal, in turn, transfers heat to the ink in transit between the conductor and the tip of the nib.
The higher temperature makes the ink flow more smoothly.
All the while, the nib will show characteristics of strength and durability for long writing sessions higher than all-gold nibs’ ones.

Visconti tubular nib

Smartouch Tubular Nib

Its special shape is turned from a capillary tube in Chromium 18 that wraps closely around the feed and can delay the drying; it means a longer resistance to evaporation, respect to a traditional nib, in uncapped position; and better start even after long time of the pen capped.
